Rue de Rivoli

JUST AS I THOUGH those cold winter days we're behind and I could be hopeful for the coming of  spring months, snow's hit Paris again today, let's hope it doesn't stay too long!

Nevertheless, yesterday, a crisp, blue skied and sunny Saturday in the French capital took me to Rue de Rivoli, and not to visit the tourist-packed Louvre or the Jardins de Tuileries. No, shopping - a girls best (and worst) friend - for the final weekend of the French winter sales! Although just a bit too busy for my liking.

Aside from the sales and the Autumn/Winter carry-over monochrome, I loved seeing the new Spring/Summer '13 collections in the shops. From high-street to boutique, the pastel hues, fluorescent Aztec and floral prints made me so excited for some springtime sun and warmth! Rue de Rivoli has so much to offer, with beautiful building and tucked away just behind the Seine, you couldn't ask for a better location. With minimal monies, I hit Zara, New Look and H&M for some high street fashion (it's not about the label , it's about how one wears it ;)) and attempted sale shopping and discovered some other cute little shops on the way one being Cream & Soda. After the shops close, jump over a street and walk down by the Seine and if you're lucky enough you can catch the winter sun set over the river.

Having failed to buy any winter warmers for the chilly Parisian weather, let's just hope it isn't too long until we can wear the beautiful new, springtime collections. I'm Excited!
