LFW: Burberry

BURBERRY: The iconic British luxury brand since 1856

The women's Burberry Prorsum show at LFW 2013 what's looking hot for AW13?

Very naughtily I managed to watch some snippets of the Burberry Prorsum show yesterday afternoon by streaming it live! I think it's such a shame that the 'chav' culture of Britain have put such a bad 'look' and reputation on Burberry clothing, with their cheap, plastic, tacky looking Burberry bags and scarves etc. When you see them on the catwalk or in Burberry promotions {Romeo Beckham couldn't look any cuter!}, you realise how smart their trench coats are, how sophisticated their bags look and overall how un-chavvy the brand actually is.

Flicking between work and the show, it was clear to see that for the Burberry AW13 collection, monochrome will be staying with us for yet another season with a range of black and white textured and patterned coats. Crimson/red will be the bold stand out colour for Burberry as seen in an all-crimson coat and bold dress and gold plating is huge among clutch bags and waist belts with hues of tan and gold running throughout the collection. For Autumn/Winter '13 Burberry have created a big prints clash with dresses and coats featuring mismatching tops and bottoms from animal prints, zebra, leopard and giraffe, to a heart printed dress.

Although snapped before the show with black bags under her eyes showing the the stress and tiredness of walking endless shows throughout fashion week {Burberry being her 7th London show following 11 shows in NYC!!}, Cara Delevingne looked as fresh as daisy on the Burberry catwalk with 'wifey' and party partner-in-crime Rita Ora front row of the show accompanied by the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and the big Philly G! {Sir Philip Green - scary man, had an annual talk given by him when I was at Arcadia!}

After such a powerful show, I don't think anyone needs convincing that Burberry impressed once again and the AW13 collection will be a huge success, yet Burberry have gone the extra mile and created a Runway Made to Order - "Available for a limited time, items from the AW13 runway collection are made to order and can be personalized with a bespoke nameplate engraved with your name or initials" - {taken from Burberry UK - view the collection}
